how to start home care (to patients and their families)

Cost

We will inform you of the estimation of treatment costs.

We are focused on home care and cancer treatment.

We will visit you four times a week to provide the same level of medical care as hospital care.

Twice out of four times are focused on physical and mental care provided by nurses.

The standard cost differs between non-cancer patients who only needs 2 house calls a month, and cancer patients who need 4 house calls a week.

Even in case of 4 house calls a week, High-Cost Medical Expense Benefit will be applied, and your payment will be greatly reduced.

Those who use care insurance need to pay Guidance for Management of In-Home Medical Long-Term Care fee (500yen).

If medical treatment such as, domiciliary oxygen therapy, gastrosoma, or tracheotomy, or medical examination such as blood sampling is performed, or if emergent house calls are made, the cost may be added to the standard cost.

Medicine will be prescribed out-of-hospital, and drug cost will be needed separately. This is the same as the case of hospital care.
If you are receiving Publicly Funded Health Care, the medical expense will be covered by public funds.

You don’t need to pay for the transportation cost during daytime.

Note that transportation cost is needed from 10 pm to 7 am.

A medical expense bill for each month will be sent to you in the following month.

The expense will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account in principle.
